Hi! Thank you for visiting my site. I’m Alex Duke and I am a born and raised Georgia Peach and am currently living in Smyrna, Georgia. I have been married 10 years to my amazing husband, Rip and we have two kids. Our daughter, Emmitt, who is pure magic with a side of drama and our crazy, funny, outgoing son Dash who we affectionately nicknamed “the Dashaster”. I have been, pretty much, a stay at home mama since Emmitt was born in 2014.

I created Absolutely Alex to give myself a little creative outlet and to share my most favorite things. I love a home project, decorating and being a sounding board for my friend’s homes. I have always loved makeup and have been the go to girl for all my friends since college to help with makeup and hair for all of our nights out. I am not an expert of any kind and never claim to have it all together. Honestly, I’m a bit of a mess most of the time but do have a few tricks up my sleeve and, like a good girlfriend, I’m always willing to share. I have recently realized that maybe more than just my close friends would like to hear what I have to share so I decided to give this blogger thing a try. So here goes…
