All About Eyes

For today’s tip I’m talking eye creams. I want to preface this by saying(again) I am not an expert and I know that what my skin prefers might not work for everyone, but this has been my number one skin care question so here ya go…. this is what has been working for me.

Ok first things first, eye cream. There are so many out there and it can be overwhelming to decide which is best. I have used several different brands over the years and have been loving Bubble Wrap by Glossier for about a year now. Glossier is a clean and cruelty free brand that is also super reasonable in price. The Bubble Wrap bubble wrap eye cream is light weight but also super hydrating and can be worn under makeup and on your lips as well(I prefer only eyes though). It also acts as a barrier and protects the super sensitive skin around my eyes by applying it before my retinol at nighttime(which can make my eyes irritated if I don’t add the eye cream first).

Ok, moving on. I think it’s a pretty well known fact that a good and hydrating eye cream is essential as we age, but adding an eye treatment specifically created for the morning is a newer concept, at least to me. Introducing, my morning wake up trick…. Rose Glow and Get It Eye Balm by Tula. I found the Tula brand through some other blogger/influencers several months ago and have been hooked ever since. I apply Rose Glow and Get It every morning and it instantly brightens under my eyes and has an amazing(and I really do mean AMAZING) soothing, cooling effect that really helps with the puffiness that always accompanies the morning.

I hope this helps guide some of you who are just starting to put together your own skincare regimen or maybe looking to try something new. Xoxo- Alex
