Moisturizing Skincare Trio
The cold weather is coming in and I already feel the effects of the dry weather on my skin. I am nut about my skincare routine and have found a few great and extremely affordable face products that I am really loving these days. I have talked about two of the three before but this little trio used together really helps when my skin starts feeling dry and dull.
First, I’ll start with the lip products. I constantly battle chapped lips in the cooler months and have learned that it’s not enough to just moisturize. Just like we exfoliate our face, our lips need exfoliating as well. This sugar lip scrub is so gentle and tastes really yummy. To use, simply apply the scrub on your lips, rub them together, and you can lick it off or wipe it off with a gentle cloth. After that apply the Dr. Lipp, lip balm on top. This lip balm was originally intended to be used as a nipple cream for nursing mommas(and still can be used for that) and also has a bunch of other suggested uses like shaping eyebrows and helping with dry cuticles. It is all natural, super moisturizing and lasts all night. I wake up with lip balm still on my lips every morning!
Next, is the Palmer's Face Oil. I use this every night after my other skincare products. My dermatologist taught me that when layering products it’s best to apply the oils(like this one) last because it creates a barrier and won’t allow other products applied after it to absorb into the skin. I was a little hesitant to try the oil because its so inexpensive. I thought that the only products worth my time had to cost more, but decided to give it a shot anyway and I’m so glad I did. It feels so good on my skin at the end of the day and I really feel like it has brightened my complexion.
I am in NO WAY a skincare expert, esthetician or doctor, I’m just finding things that work for me and wanted to share!
