Little Man Cave

Dash 3.jpeg

My little baby boy decided he isn’t a baby any longer. After about 3 weeks of sleeping on the floor in protest of not wanting his crib ANYMORE, we caved and decided it was time to get my little Dashy a big boy bed. I honestly was just going to keep him in there as long as possible. Aside from loving that crib (totally saving it for my one day, some day grandchildren, btw), Dash never climbed out of his baby bed and has been such a good sleeper, so I decided to not push him into a big boy bed until he was really ready.

I didn’t do a whole room switch up. Just a new bed, bedding and added the fun accent wall. We wanted to get him a bed to match his fun personality so we found this awesome slide bed. It doesn’t sit as high as a conventional bunk or loft bed and has a pretty decent safety rail, so I felt comfortable putting him in there. We also had to make sure he had a cool bed since Sissy just got brand new bunk beds. After that, I found some adorable sheets from Restoration Hardware and got the rest of the bedding from Target. To finish his bedroom refresh, I added these really fun wonky stripe decals for an accent wall. I really love these because they are not permanent and so easy to apply. There is no real pattern so I just started pairing them together and sticking them on. I think it all turned out pretty cute. Now, our only challenge is getting him to stay in there all night long, Ha!

Most of his room decor was purchased when he was born in 2017 so I couldn’t find links for everything. I tried to link similar options for items no longer available. Let me know if I missed something you are interested in. XOXO!
